Ciri Fenzel, Founder & President

New media equals constantly changing media—Information is practically bursting from our computers, and smart phones. The resulting connectivity is shaking up the way retailers do business, not only online but in their stores. As a retail engagement specialist, Ciri knows how to harness the power of new media and translate it into brand communication solutions at retail.
Ciri connects with consumers to inspire them to try new services and opportunities, using word-of-mouth, social media and other buzz generators to mobilize online and offline communities. She is constantly involved, staying on top of the trends, influencing social media’s growing population, and commanding a large fan base, where information exchange is real-time, instant, moving-by-the-minute—and public opinion means everything.
Ciri’s especially skilled at reaching moms, the commanders of a vast and potent web of blogs, social networking platforms, and other emerging media. Here, women recommend/trash, love/hate, and evangelize products and services. Brands can’t afford not to be part of the conversation.
Ciri and her team at Breathe have helped companies such as Curvations, Wrangler Home, Vassarette, Bestform, Smith-Wesson Gun Care, Gunk, Liquid Wrench, Urban Cowgirl, and Stroller Strides build their brands by taking fresh approaches to all media particularly shopper marketing. In fact, they recently worked with Stroller Strides to diversify their product offerings resulting in an increased average monthly gross profit of 20%.
As a marketing professional who specializes in engaging and inspiring customers, Ciri has been creating meaningful connections between brands and the people that use and love them for over 20 years. During her career she has worked extensively with Fortune 100 companies like Reebok, Hanes Her Way, Walmart, Wrangler, Riders by the Makers of Lee, Target, and Champion, managing athlete and celebrity appearances, sales associate incentive contests, in-store trial promotions, satellite broadcasting, volume-producing events, installations of concept shops, and even Super Bowl in-store events that touched over 20,000 people.
Ciri earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Apparel Marketing and Merchandising from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and is pursuing her Master of Art in Communication degree at Johns Hopkins. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband and three children.
