BREATHE Press was established in 2008 to publish new, virtually unknown authors who are destined to achieve notable results in their respective genres. Based in Washington, D.C., BREATHE Press is a small, full-service independent book publisher.
We are selective in choosing our titles. Our goal is to discover the most promising new authors, to work beside them in preparing the best possible work, and to both mentor and promote their literary talent. In addition to working closely with the editing staff of BREATHE Press, our authors have the opportunity to benefit from our nationwide network of senior level marketing BREATHE Associates.
BREATHE Press maintains a print run and distribution of 5,000 or more copies of every title it publishes and does not ask any of its authors to pay a fee for, or to have any fees deducted from their royalties or earnings, or to have any financial investment in the publishing of the books.

Submission Guidelines:
Reading Period: We accept submissions anytime between January 1 and October 1. Submissions received outside of these months will not be considered. If a stamped mailer is enclosed, your submission will be returned; if not, it will be recycled.
Submission Procedure: We accept electronic and hard copy submissions. Please submit your finished, book-length manuscript, along with a cover letter containing contact information, relevant biographical information, a brief description of the manuscript, and relevant previous publication history.
Response Procedure: Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE) for our reply. If you would like your manuscript returned, please note this on your cover letter and include a stamped mailer. We will make every effort to get your manuscript back safely,
Response Time: We have a small editorial staff, and we respond to submissions within three to six months. If you haven’t heard from us in six months, please send an email to inquire about the status.
